Y2K Issue

Solution

I missed only one Y2K issue and that has to do with the labor reporting and the clock in/out date and time. It currently puts the in/out year as 1900.

Fixed in Version 2.2. A conversion program will automatically run when you upgrade. This will convert any dates already stored as 1900 to 2000.

Time Clock bug

Solution

The Employee Time Clock reports were generating all the hours under OverTime.

This Report program had not been re-compiled when a new algorithm was added a few months ago.

Report error

Solution

System Balance Reports are flaky.

File formats were changed for the files exported from PC2700, between versions 4.00 vs 4.0x In general, file formats do not change between these types of versions (if it had been 4.00 vs 4.1x, then you could expect a file format change ... this was not the case). It was also poorly documented in the Micros manuals. This version, 2.2, fixes this problem.

EatecNet Interface

Solution

Request for a report that produces an ASCII file interface to EatecNet.

The new "report" is available in Version 2.11. The reason for saying "report" in quotes is that technically this is not a report, as it produces files, not paper. But it is run from the Report menu, hence the quotes.

Tips, Time Clock

Solution

A problem with Tips & Time Clock reporting for multi-store locations with employees who do NOT work at both stores, but share the same Employee ID number.

New "Report"

Solution

Request for a report that produces an ASCII file and also a database file (DBF) containing Employee Time Clock information.

The new "report" is available in Version 2.1. The reason for saying "report" in quotes is that technically this is not a report, as it produces files, not paper. But it is run from the Report menu, hence the quotes. This program, RptTimA.EXE, can also be run as a standalone program, outside of 2700 Report Module.

Year 2000 Compliance

Solution

Make date recognition be Year 2000 compliant.

Reports will now indicate a full 4-digit year.

Bogus Error Message

Solution

If you re-run your Daily updates for *all* locations because there was a problem with *one* location's data, you will get an error message stating that the files are missing for all locations that were already processed correctly. This does not prevent the update from running for the one location that you intended to update, but the error messages are mis-leading & annoying.
